New Mexico State Police say a 21-year-old Las Cruces woman is dead after crashing her car outside of Alamogordo on Monday.
Police say 21-year-old Ariel Avalos lost control of her vehicle while heading east on U.S. 70. The car ran off the road and overturned. Avalos, of Las Cruces, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. She was pronounced dead on scene.
Police say they are still investigating the crash.
