Las Cruces Woman Enters Guilty Plea In Bank Robbery

A Las Cruces woman has pleaded guilty to robbing a bank in New Mexico three months ago.

Federal prosecutors say 58-year-old Yolanda Boyle entered her plea Thursday and didn't have a plea agreement.

They say Boyle admitted to robbing the First Convenience Bank in Las Cruces on Jan. 24.

She was arrested the following day after several witnesses identified her as the robber and some of the stolen cash was recovered.

Authorities say Boyle had previously been a customer of the bank.

A witness told authorities that he went to a casino with Boyle on Jan. 25 and she had a large sum of money and gave him some for gambling.

Boyle's sentencing hearing hasn't been scheduled yet, but prosecutors say she faces up to 20 years in prison.
