Las Cruces, NM – Incumbent Third District Las Cruces Public School Board member Gene Gant has won his seat twice before and hopes 2009 will bring him a similar result. Las Cruces residents within the third district will choose between Gant and two challengers hoping to claim the position on the education board. As KRWG's Marco Grajeda reports, Gant says the board needs continuity to deal with what he expects will be tough times ahead.
