SANTA FE – This week, Lieutenant Governor John Sanchez was appointed to the Innovate ABQ, Inc. Board of Directors by the University of New Mexico (UNM) Board of Regents.
Innovate ABQ is a nonprofit research park corporation led by UNM, in partnership with local government, the business community, and public and private partners. As a member of the board, Lieutenant Governor Sanchez will assist in guiding the development of the Innovate ABQ property in Downtown Albuquerque, designed to serve as a premier innovation community for researchers, inventors, science and technology companies, and entrepreneurs.
Lieutenant Governor Sanchez released the following statement regarding his appointment:
“I want to thank the University of New Mexico Board of Regents for this appointment. As a longtime business owner and public servant, I look forward to lending my ideas and experience to this very important endeavor as we seek to build a spirit of entrepreneurism for current and future generations.”
