LULAC Recognizes CAFé Executive Director Sarah Nolan

LAS CRUCES, N.M. –  New Mexico LULAC will host the 2015 National LULAC Women’s Conference, Leadership, Opportunity, Education, & Family: Celebrating the Latina Spirit, in Santa Ana Pueblo this week from March 26-29th.  This year’s conference focuses on strengthening Latino families by empowering Hispanic women for success.  CAFé Executive Director Sarah Nolan will be recognized as a Latina Leader in New Mexico.

NM State Director, Jessica Inez Martinez, states, “We are honored and privileged to recognize some of the greatest role model Hispanic women throughout the state that have championed the cause of public service.”  She added, “They exemplify those core leadership values and have worked for the best interest and public good.”

“I’m honored to be recognized as a Latina leader in New Mexico, alongside other inspirational women leaders who can be strong role models for New Mexicans.  Being raised by a strong Latina, having women mentors in my family and career and being a mother myself, I know how important it is to have role models that you can relate to, especially strong Latina women, who understand the struggles and blessings we face given our experiences.”

CAFé staff and volunteers will be participating in the awards luncheon to celebrate Sarah’s leadership in New Mexico.
