Man Arrested For Lewd Behavior In Las Cruces

Las Cruces Police have arrested a man suspected of exposing himself to at least a pair of women walking in parking lots.

Jason Alfredo Molina, 30, of the 5400 block of Clavel Road, is charged with two misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure.

Las Cruces Police detectives learned that on March 11 a woman was walking through a parking lot near Pro’s Ranch Market, on El Paseo Road, when a heavy-set man driving a white sport utility vehicle began circling her. The woman told police that the man eventually drove up next to her and asked for directions.

The woman told detectives that when she looked toward the man, she observed that his pants were down and he was masturbating. The woman told police the man continued following her and at one point asked if she wanted to get into his SUV.

On March 15, another woman was visiting an ice cream shop on north Main Street with her 3-year-old son when she noticed a white SUV parked near her vehicle. As the woman approached her vehicle, carrying her son, the driver of the SUV yelled out to her. When the woman turned toward man, she saw that his pants were down and he was masturbating.

The man drove away but not before the woman was able to jot down the SUV’s license plate which she passed along to police.

A deputy from the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office located the SUV at Molina’s residence, which is north of Las Cruces. Las Cruces Police detectives interviewed Molina whose statements corroborated allegations made by the two women.

Molina was arrested Tuesday, March 18, and booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center with a cash-only bond set at $2,500. Detectives have reason to believe Molina may have exposed himself publicly to other women. Anyone who has experienced a similar incident is asked to call police at (575) 526-0795.
