Man Sought In Killing Arrested In Santa Teresa

By KRWG News

Santa Teresa, NM – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say a man wanted in connection with a killing in Albuquerque was taken into custody at the Santa Teresa port of entry in southern New Mexico over the weekend.

Authorities say 19-year-old Oscar Rodolfo Orejel surrendered Sunday night. He was turned over to the Albuquerque Police Department.

An arrest warrant was issued last year for Orejel in connection with the May 17, 2010, shooting death of 20-year-old Miguel Barragan. His body was found in an alley near downtown Albuquerque.
