Martinez Announces Appointments To Boards And Commissions

  Governor Susana Martinez has announced appointments to the Border Authority, the Brain Injury Advisory Council, the State Commission for Community Volunteerism, the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors, the Family Infant Toddler Interagency Coordinating Council, the Governor’s Council on Film and Media Industries, the Board of Funeral Services, the Judicial Standards Commission, the Juvenile Justice Advisory Commission, the Board of Nursing Home Administrators, the Occupational Health and Safety Review Commission, the State Parks Advisory Board, the Board of Pharmacy, the State Racing Commission, and the Water Trust Board.

Tom Church of Santa Fe has been appointed to the Border Authority. Church is Cabinet Secretary of the Department of Transportation. He has led the department since 2013. Church holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado.

Sara Penn of Tijeras has been appointed to the Brain Injury Advisory Council. Penn is a service director at Goodwill Industries of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She has been with Goodwill since 2006. Penn holds a Master of Social Work from New Mexico State University in Albuquerque.

Greg Hallstrom has been appointed to the State Commission for Community Volunteerism. Hallstrom is the co-founder of Hands On Ministries and Education Inc. and Community Link ABQ. He retired from the U.S. Army as a lieutenant colonel after 22 years of service. Hallstrom holds a Master of Science from Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri.

Nadir Yilmaz has been appointed to the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors. Yilmaz is the associate department chair and director of undergraduate programs for the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. He is a fellow of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Yilmaz holds a Doctor of Philosophy from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.

Andrea Segura of Santa Fe has been appointed to the Family Infant Toddler Interagency Coordinating Council. Segura is a social and community service coordinator for the Human Services Department. She previously worked as an advanced health educator with the Public Education Department. Segura holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Nelli Calame of Placitas has been appointed to the Family Infant Toddler Interagency Coordinating Council. Calame is a human resource manager at the Intel Corporation. She has held various roles with the company since 1980. Calame holds a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona.

Sara Einfalt of Albuquerque has been appointed to the Family Infant Toddler Interagency Coordinating Council. Einfalt is the owner of AmericanEagle Accounting & Bookkeeping, LLC. She is also an instructor at Lewis University. Einfalt holds a Master of Business Administration from the College of Santa Fe in Albuquerque.

Marisa Jimenez of Santa Fe has been appointed to the Governor’s Council on Film and Media Industries. Jimenez is director of operations with MBS-3 Studios and Santa Fe Studios. She has a diverse background in editing, production, and other film and media-related fields. Jimenez holds a Master of Arts from Roehampton University in Roehampton, London, United Kingdom.

Ann Swanson of Truth of Consequences has been appointed to the Board of Funeral Services. Swanson is a follow-up coordinator for the Department of Health. She also serves on the Board of Social Work Examiners. Swanson holds a Master of Arts from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Kim Fannin of Albuquerque has been appointed to the Judicial Standards Commission. Fannin has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, and is executive assistant to the Assistant Vice President at Farm Credit of New Mexico. She previously served on the board of the Albuquerque Christian School, and as a court-appointed special advocate volunteer.

Faith Cortez of Las Cruces has been appointed to the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee. Cortez conducts social psychology research at New Mexico State University. She was Miss Northern New Mexico in 2015. Cortez holds a Bachelor of Arts from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.

Roshanna Toya of Albuquerque has been appointed to the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee. Toya is an associate justice for the Pueblo of Isleta Appellate Court. She is also an adjunct faculty member for the Criminal Justice Department at New Mexico State University. Toya holds a Master of Criminal Justice and a Master of Social Work from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.

Tina Harris of Clovis has been appointed to the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee. Harris is a member of Leaders Uniting Voices Youth Advocates of New Mexico, where she works with the State of New Mexico to improve the conditions of care for foster youth. Harris attended Clovis Community College in Clovis.

Patty Campbell of Albuquerque has been appointed to the Board of Nursing Home Administrators. Campbell is an administrator at Cornerstone Home Care. Previously, she was the enrollment manager at InnovAge Greater New Mexico PACE. Campbell holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Robert Roehm of Albuquerque has been appointed to the Occupational Health and Safety Review Commission. Roehm is a retired environmental and safety compliance manager from Rust Tractor/Wagner Equipment Company. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

John Montgomery of Portales has been appointed to the State Parks Advisory Board. Montgomery is the assistant vice president for Research and Program Development at Eastern New Mexico University. He also serves on the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science Board of Trustees. Montgomery holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.

Neal Dungan of Carlsbad has been appointed to the Board of Pharmacy. Dungan is a pharmacist and consultant for Corner Drug Store, Inc. He is also the co-owner of La Tienda Pharmacy and Farmer’s Uptown Pharmacy. Dungan holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Ken Corazza of Albuquerque has been appointed to the State Racing Commission. Corazza is the owner and operator of The Medicine Chest Pharmacy. He previously served on the Racing Commission in 2004 and 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Robert Baracker of Sandia Park has been appointed to the Water Trust Board. Baracker is a longtime public servant with decades of experience in federal government. He is a member of the Entranosa Water and Waste Water Cooperative Board as well as President of the Turley Mansanares Acequia Water Commission. Baracker holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana.
