Martinez Announces Board Appointments; Names MVEDA's Lopez To Spaceport Authority

  Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced appointments to the Brain Injury Advisory Council, the New Mexico Community Development Council, the Economic Development Commission, the Board of Directors of the National Hispanic Cultural Center, the Parole Board, the State Rehabilitation Council, and the Spaceport Authority.

Melissa Esquibel of Albuquerque has been appointed to the Brain Injury Advisory Council. Esquibel is a special education teacher at Bernalillo Academy. Previously, she worked as finance manager at Vigil & Associates. Esquibel holds a Master of Business Administration from New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Lisa Hardison of Hobbs has been appointed to the New Mexico Community Development Council. Hardison is a manager of communications and public relations at URENCO USA, and is the president and CEO of the Economic Development Corporation of Lea County. She also serves as a member of the Economic Development Corporation. Hardison holds a Doctor of Education from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.

Daniel Castilleja of Rio Rancho has been appointed to the Economic Development Commission. Castilleja is the owner of Dan Castilleja Business Consulting. Previously, he was the president of DHF Technical Products. Castilleja holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of La Verne in La Verne, California.

Brookes McIntyre of Albuquerque has been reappointed to the Board of Directors of the National Hispanic Cultural Center. From 2005 to 2006, McIntyre was one of three individuals who started a statewide composer project for children 12 and under calledHey, Mozart! New Mexico. She served as president of the board’s program until 2014. McIntyre holds a Bachelor of Arts from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Caryn Apodaca of Santa Fe has been reappointed to the Parole Board. Apodaca held various positions at the New Mexico Corrections Department from 1982 to 2007. She ended her career with the department as an administrative law judge. Apodaca holds a Bachelor of Arts from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.

Jose Armendariz of Las Cruces has been appointed to the State Rehabilitation Council. Armendariz is a rehabilitation counselor at the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Prior to his current position, he was an employment specialist at Tresco, Inc. Armendariz holds a Master of Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas at El Paso in El Paso, Texas.

Davin Lopez of Las Cruces has been appointed to the Spaceport Authority. Lopez is the president and chief executive officer of the Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance (MVEDA). He also serves as a member of the Economic Development Corporation. Lopez holds a Master of Business Administration from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
