Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is helping New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez raise money for her re-election.
Martinez campaign spokesman Chris Sanchez said the governor has scheduled a fundraiser with Rubio on Friday in Miami.
The governor's re-election campaign will pay for Martinez's travel expenses. She flew Thursday evening to Florida and will return to New Mexico on Friday after the fundraiser.
Martinez holds a large fundraising advantage over her Democratic challenger, two-term Attorney General Gary King.
The governor reported cash-on-hand of $3.8 million at the start of the month while King's campaign had a balance of about $158,000.
Martinez is the nation's first female Hispanic governor.
Rubio is considered a potential 2016 Republican presidential candidate.
