The Dona Ana County Board of Commissioners has announced a series of public hearings next week for county residents to express their comments and concerns regarding the Dona Ana County Detention Center.
Four meetings will be held in various locations throughout the county; the first half will focus on the proposed noise ordinance and the second half will be dedicated to the Detention Center.
The purpose of the Detention Center portion of the meetings is to provide an opportunity for the public to express their concerns, comments and questions related to the recent judgment against the county regarding the Detention Center.
The first hour of each meeting will focus on the noise ordinance with second hour covering the detention center. The commission will convene at a later date in a work session to address the input received at the meetings, which are scheduled as follows:
