Missouri Avenue Overnight Closure Thursday In Las Cruces

Las Cruces – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District One office along with FNF Construction continue with work along I-25 between Lohman Avenue (exit 3) and University Avenue (exit 1). As work is progressing with the construction of the southbound bridge overpass, overnight closures continue for Missouri Ave. and the intersection of Triviz Drive and Don Roser.

The next overnight closure is scheduled for Thursday June 4, 2015 at 8:30 pm and will be lifted by Friday June 5 at 3:00 am in order to remove the abutment forms from the south end of the I-25 bridge. The contractor is scheduled to set the bridge girders and start construction of the southbound bridge deck Wednesday June 10, which should be completed Friday June 19. Working hours for the bridge work will be from 8:00 pm until 5:00 am. During these nightly closures motorists will have no access on Missouri Ave between Triviz Drive and Don Roser. Detours will be stationed alerting motorists to seek an alternate route.

Work along I-25 will continue with daily operations Monday through Friday from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm. Motorists traveling southbound on I-25 from mile marker 4.5 (south of US 70/N. Main exit) to University Ave exit 1 will encounter 10 foot width restrictions. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane between University Ave (exit 1) and Lohman Ave (exit 3).

The NMDOT and FNF Construction will be holding a Public Involvement Meeting Wednesday June 24, 2015 at the NMDOT District One Complex located at 750 N. Solano in Las Cruces, NM.
