More Than 1500 Aggies Expected To Move In Sunday

More than 1,500 Aggies and their families are expected to arrive on the New Mexico State University Las Cruces campus Sunday to begin moving into residence halls. About 400 student, faculty and staff volunteers, including President Garrey Carruthers, have signed up to help with the effort.

All student housing occupants will now have access to in-room recycling bins, and those living in family housing and Garcia Hall will have the opportunity to use Laundry View, a pilot program at NMSU, that allows students to log in online to see if washers and dryers are available for use, saving them a trip to the laundry room. Students also will be able to monitor the status of their laundry load online or via their mobile device so that they know when it is finished.

All NMSU students and their family members are invited to participate in the Aggie BBQ at 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, at the Outdoor Stage, located east of Corbett Center Student Union.

Aggie Recycling provides constant support during move-in day, and expects to recycle more than 8,000 pounds of cardboard from move-in day alone.
