More State Park Fire Restrictions Lifting

By KRWG News

New Mexico – SANTA FE, N.M. (KRWG) Thanks to recent rains, the New Mexico State Parks Division is easing more fire restrictions.

Park officials say fire restrictions will be lifted at Santa Rosa Lake State Park and lessened at Brantley Lake State Park, beginning Friday morning.

At Brantley Lake, smoking will be permitted only in vehicles equipped with ashtrays, in developed campgrounds or in areas barren of vegetation for at least three feet. As before the fire restrictions, the use of charcoal and fires will be allowed in grills only or within 100 feet of the shoreline at Brantley Lake.

Both parks have been under Stage II Fire restrictions since April.
