Murder Investigation Continues

By KRWG News

Silver City – Authorities still are trying to solve the murder of the man who owned Steins Ghost Town near the New Mexico-Arizona border earlier this month.

The body of 68-year-old Larry Link was found lying near his vehicle between his property and the Union Pacific Railroad easement in Steins.

New Mexico State Police say they're not ruling anything out, but there's no evidence pointing one way or the other in the case.

Police haven't released details other to say the shooting had to have occurred before 6:15 a.m. on June 7.

They say no suspects have been identified, but some evidence is being processed.

The Silver City Sun-News says Link and his wife bought Steins Railroad Ghost Town in 1988.

The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last July 15.
