Murder Suspects Arrested In El Paso

By KRWG News

El Paso – Two fugitive murder suspects from Colorado have been arrested at the Mexican border in El Paso in as many days.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials arrested 63-year-old Arturo Talamantes Chavira on Wednesday as he tried to cross the border into the United States from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, just across the Rio Grande from El Paso. He is wanted on a 2009 homicide warrant from Denver.

Tuesday, CBP agents arrested Edward Gerald Graham, who is wanted on charges of murder and assault with a deadly weapon in Lakewood, Colo. He was captured as he tried to take a bus into Mexico.

Both men are being held at the El Paso County jail without bond. Jail records don't show if either man has a lawyer.
