Naked Man Arrested After Robbing Las Cruces Home

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – A man who was naked as he burglarized an apartment was arrested by police Saturday morning.

Jerimiah D. Salmon, 31, of the 4800 block of Calle Bella, is charged with one count each of residential burglary and larceny.

Shortly past 9 a.m. Saturday, July 16, Las Cruces Police were called to an apartment at 310 Richard Drive after a tenant arrived to find a naked man in his home. The tenant politely offered the naked man, later identified as Salmon, a pair of boxer shorts and ordered him to leave.

Salmon refused to leave and instead locked himself in a bedroom while the tenant called 911. Las Cruces Police officers arrived and found Salmon had left through a back door. Salmon was located and detained as he tried to hide on the side of the apartment.

Salmon was found wearing only the boxer shorts and carrying two digital cameras that he stole from the apartment. He was arrested and is being held at the Dona Ana County Detention Center with bond set at $10,000.
