Navy Training Begins At Las Cruces Airport

Las Cruces – Members of Navy Training Wing 4 from the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas are currently training at the Las Cruces International Airport. They will be here for the next two months.

The members arrived the first week of January and will continue to train until April 11th. There are about 70 students and 30 instructor pilots, including approximately 40-50 personnel. They also have about 26 T-34 Bearcat trainer aircrafts for their training.

The team comes to Las Cruces because excellent weather, uncongested airspace and also due to the support of city government.
