New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange Enrollment Deadline Extended to Dec. 19

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The deadline (originally December 15) to sign up for health coverage to begin January 1, through beWellnm, has been extended to December 19, at11:59 p.m. (PST). 

Given the extraordinary volume of consumers contacting the Federally-facilitated Marketplace (FFM) Call Center and/or visiting HealthCare.gov, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is providing two additional business days for consumers to complete their enrollment.

BeWellnm offers New Mexicans many free resources to make the process of shopping for health coverage easier, including: 

o   Updated beWellnm.com Website: New features include a plan finder, a subsidy calculator, live chat capabilities for real-time assistance, 25 new informational pages, a calendar of enrollment events and a Spanish site that can be found atbewellnm.com/Casa.

o   Enrollment Assistance Centers: Across the state, beWellnm offers in-person assistance in both English and Spanish.

o   State Certified Enrollment Counselors: Free assistance is available by state-certified enrollment counselors and brokers, helping New Mexico residents to identify plans that fit a variety of needs and budgets. BeWellnm offers a search tool to findbrokersor agents throughout New Mexico.

o   Call Toll-Free: By calling 1-855-996-6449, New Mexicans can speak with enrollment counselors who can help answer questions in English and Spanish.
