New Mexico Migration and Health Summit

By KRWG News

New Mexico – Gov. Bill Richardson says he will host an international forum on migration and health next month in Santa Fe.
The governor's office says the forum will feature Mexico's first lady, Margarita Zavala, and more than 300 health representatives from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Central and South America.
The goal of the two-day forum is to improve public health policies for immigrant populations and enhance working relations among participating countries to improve the health and well-being of Latino communities across the United States.
The forum is being organized by the state Department of Health, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center for Health Policy at the University of New Mexico, the University of California Berkeley Health Initiative for the Americas and the New Mexico Health Policy Commission.
