New Mexico – ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRWG) The New Mexico State Fair is offering $2 admission on its opening day.
The fair begins Friday in Albuquerque and will run through Sept. 25. It's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The annual State Fair parade will be held Saturday morning in Albuquerque and 5,000 free admission tickets to the fair will be handed out along the parade route.
Standard admission price to the fair for adults is $7 and officials say that's the same as was charged in 2007. Admission is $5 for people aged 62 and older and for children from ages six to 12. There's free admission for children five and under.
