'The Night Shift' to film its Fourth Season in New Mexico

Santa Fe, N.M. - New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced today that the television series "The Night Shift," produced by Sony Pictures Television and airing on NBC, has begun principal photography through July in Albuquerque.

"Season 4 continues the strong run for 'The Night Shift' and Sony Pictures Television," said New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis. "The longer a TV show runs, the more contributions to our economy and the more New Mexicans work."

The production will employ approximately 350 New Mexico crew members, 100 New Mexico principal actors and approximately 2,500 New Mexico background talent.

"Albuquerque welcomes 'The Night Shift' back to our city for its fourth season. We support the movie and television industry, and the movie and television industry supports our economy; it's a great thing for everyone," said Mayor Richard J. Berry.

Created and executive produced by Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah, the ensemble medical drama "The Night Shift" follows the lives of the doctors and staff members who work the overnight shift in the Emergency Room at San Antonio Memorial Hospital.
