"The Night Shift" to Film its Third Season in New Mexico

New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced today that the television series "The Night Shift," produced by Sony Pictures Television and airing on NBC, will begin principal photography in February and film through June in Albuquerque.

"Albuquerque welcomes 'The Night Shift' back to our city for its third season.  We support the movie industry, and the movie industry supports our economy; it's a great thing for everyone," said Mayor Richard J. Berry.

The production will employ approximately 130 New Mexico crew members and approximately 500 New Mexico background talent per episode.

"Sony Pictures Television has been an important part of our record breaking year in the New Mexico Film and TV Industry. Increased television work has been one of our goals given the long term jobs and economic impact it provides," said New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis. "To have 'The Night Shift' return for a third season is exactly what we want and we are very happy to have them back."

Created and Executive Produced by Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah, the ensemble medical drama "The Night Shift" follows the lives of the doctors and staff members who work the overnight shift at the Emergency Room in San Antonio Memorial Hospital.
