NM County Says Voters Left Behind Items

Voters in one New Mexico county made sure they got their voices heard.

But some of them also left a few souvenirs behind.

Dona Ana County officials said that voters left a number of items in voter booths on Tuesday, from sets of reading glasses and stuffed envelopes of personal papers to driver's licenses and voter-information cards. Officials say the found items have been turned in to the Dona Ana County Special Projects Office for processing through the county's lost-and-found system.

County workers are trying to contact voters if the items have contact information listed on them.

Officials say voters also can contact to county to be reunited with lost items.
