NM Examines Road, Water Systems After Record Rain

Heavy rainfall north of Espanola has flooded about six homes in New Mexico's Rio Arriba County.

County spokeswoman Erica Martinez says some of the homes were "halfway under water" Wednesday afternoon but "nobody's life appears in danger."

She says residents of the flooded homes were able to safely evacuate.

Espanola officials are opening a shelter for any flood victims.
