NM Man Gets Life Plus 100 Years For Crime Spree
32-year-old man has been sentenced in Clovis to life in prison plus 100 years for a 2012 crime spree that included a killing during a home invasion and several assaults.
The Ninth Judicial District Attorney's Office says Jimmy Reagan's crime spree involved 14 victims from more than six separate crime scenes.
The killing of 35-year-old Shondel Lofton occurred after Reagan assaulted a woman outside a home and then forced his way into the home, where Lofton was killed.
Two other females were assaulted and held hostage in their vehicle.
Curry County Sheriff's Deputies and New Mexico State Police ultimately captured and arrested Reagan following a short standoff with a hostage.
Reagan was sentenced Tuesday by Judge Stephen Quinn.
