New Mexico labor officials say the state's unemployment insurance operations center and all Department of Workforce Solutions offices will be closed for Independence Day.
Claimants will still be able to access the online tax and claims system between 4 a.m. and 7 p.m. through Friday.
Officials say normal business hours for the operations center will resume Friday morning for those who need to speak to a customer service agent.
Because Thursday is a federal holiday, labor officials are also reminding claimants that some banks will be closed and this will result in accounts being funded when they reopen.
They say this could affect some debit card holders, those who have direct deposit and those who receive paper checks via the U.S. Postal Service.
