NMSU Hosts Juried Student Art Show

The University Art Gallery at NMSU will host their annual Juried Student Show, beginning with an opening gala from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at the UAG. This event is free and open to the public.

The exhibition is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their talent and skills while engaging with their community, and will feature artwork created by 34 students from NMSU’s Art Department — seven graduate students, and 27 undergraduates.

“Every year, we have the opportunity to highlight the most excellent work being done by students in our department in all media areas. I look forward to sharing the talent and vision of our current students with visitors from around campus and the community,” said Stephanie Taylor, interim director of the NMSU University Art Gallery.

This year’s juror is NMSU alumna Jessica Pizana Roberts.

The exhibition will run through Saturday, April 5.

The University Art Gallery is located in D.W. Williams Hall on the NMSU campus, at the intersection of University and Solano Avenues. It is open Tuesday throughSaturday from 12-4 p.m., with evening hours from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesdays. Designated gallery parking is available, and general parking on the NMSU campus is free on weekends and after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
