Las Cruces – New Mexico State University's Arrowhead Center is teaming up with Sandia National Laboratories' New Mexico Small Business Assistance Program.
Dawn Hommer of the Arrowhead Center says the program is looking for innovative ideas and technologies at small businesses.
The goal is to move the technologies closer to commercialization.
Hommer says the program brings the prowess of the national lab and New Mexico State to small businesses and promotes economic development in the state.
Small businesses can seek help from lab scientists or engineers for projects requiring testing, design consultation and access to special equipment or facilities.
The Arrowhead Center's assistance includes a detailed, individual assessment plan for businesses.
Eligible businesses must be for-profit, based in New Mexico and meet the U.S. Small Business Administration's definition of a small business.
