LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The goods were confiscated or abandoned on campus and were put up for auction Thursday. The police department says the auction drew one of the largest crowds in years.
A campus police department spokesman tells the Las Cruces Sun-News all auctioned property was either found or abandoned on campus, or was involved in a criminal case.
Some of the items have been taking up space in the evidence room since 2001.
