Experts from around the country participated in an online conference Tuesday to discuss the first Presidential debate.  And a New Mexico State University professor joined the discussion.

Dr. Tim Ketelaar, an expert in psychology, analyzed the facial expressions of the candidates.

He says, overall...he’d give a slight edge to Hillary Clinton in this area of non-verbal communication.

Ketelaar stresses his analysis only dealt with facial expression…not content.

In that area, most analysts said it wasn’t even a contest:  Clinton came out on top.

And a sample of potential voters who watched the debate agreed.  A CNN poll found 62 percent thought Clinton won the debate…just 27 percent said Trump won.  And those same voters said Clinton had a better grasp of the issues by a 2 to 1 margin….and said she was the stronger leader by a 56% to 39% margin.
