Maybe the third time will be the charm for state taxation officials trying to sell three large Santa Teresa Country Club properties to try to collect at least $672,000 of unpaid taxes.
The Las Cruces Sun-News reports that a third attempt to sell the properties is planned for Oct. 17.
That's after the properties went unsold during an auction Monday — the second time in less than a year that the properties failed to sell.
State officials said they didn't accept a $20,000 bid for the three properties because they required a bid for at least the $672,000 combined value of delinquent taxes for the three properties.
