No Bodies Found In NM Sex Torture Case Search

By KRWG News

Truth or Consequencs, New Mexico – TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES, N.M. (KRWG) The FBI says no bodies have been found in a New Mexico reservoir searched by authorities looking for possible victims of a man convicted a decade ago of sexually torturing women.

FBI spokesman Frank Fisher said federal and local law enforcement agents surveyed a canyon but only found animal bones. He said authorities expect to return to some "places of interests" in the near future, but didn't have an exact date.

The FBI, New Mexico State Police and Albuquerque police fanned out on the southern end of Elephant Butte Reservoir in McRae Canyon for any remains of missing victims of David Parker Ray.

The FBI said it has received new information in the case, but declined to give details.

Authorities have long believed that Ray, who died in 2002 while serving life in prison, buried some of the 40 victims he claimed to have had.
