Outside Of Roswell's UFO Museum To Face Makeover

The International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell is getting a makeover.

Executive Director Mark Briscoe says the exterior will be redone with new stucco to make it look like one big building. Also, the marquee is getting a new look.

The Roswell Daily Record reports the museum will remain open during the renovations. Some sections may be temporarily closed while work is in progress, but much of the construction will take place at night.

Changes also are planned for the interior in the future, including the addition of touch screen screens.

Roswell is known for a 1947 case in which Air Force officials said they recovered a UFO, only later to recant and say it was a research balloon.
