New Mexico – Veterans, active members of the military and their families will have fees waived at all New Mexico state parks in recognition of Veterans Day.
State Parks Director Dave Simon says this is one way his department can give back to the veterans.
The waiver applies to all active duty and retired veterans and their immediate families at all state parks next Wednesday.
Veterans need to identify themselves as such to state parks staff or campground hosts when they enter the parks.
Vietnam Veteran's Memorial State Park in Angel Fire also will present three Vietnam veterans who will share their experiences during a special ceremony on Wednesday.
