Las Cruces – The NMSU Police Department is investigating the death of a person in student family housing on the Las Cruces campus. At this time, there are no obvious indications of foul play, but the case is being handled as a possible crime until proven otherwise.

At 5:33 pm on October 25, 2010, NMSU Housing officials and an NMSU police officer conducted a welfare check at an apartment in student family housing. The officer entered the unit and discovered the body of an individual inside one of the bedrooms.
