Police Hope to ID Suspect in Las Cruces Denny’s Armed Robbery

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps identify the man suspected of the Dec. 28 armed robbery at a Denny’s restaurant.

At about 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, a man armed with a handgun entered the Denny’s restaurant, at 3901 Bataan Memorial West, and demanded cash from the register. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. No shots were fired and no injuries reported.

The suspect left the parking lot in a vehicle that headed north on Emerald Drive toward the Las Colinas neighborhood.

The suspect is described as approximately 6-feet tall with a stocky build. He is believed to be in his late 20s or 30s. Surveillance cameras in the restaurant captured images of the suspect.

Anyone with information that can help identify the suspect is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Those who provide tips through Crime Stoppers do not have to provide their own name and can remain completely anonymous.

The Crime Stoppers number is operational 24 hours a day.
