Las Cruces, NM: The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) with El Terrero Construction will need to close a portion NM-292/Motel Blvd from the I-10 westbound on ramp to Lakeside Drive. Business and residents within this area will have access during this closure. This closure will be placed by 6:00 am on Wednesday April 4, 2012 and will be lifted at the end of business on Friday, April 6, 2012.
The NMDOT will be working with El Terrero as they removed the eastbound bridge in order to reconstruct a new over pass and ramps. The closure will allow heavy equipment to remove a large amount of debris that will be excavated from this area in order to begin construction.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area until the closure is lifted and utilize alternate routes as posted throughout the work zone. Law enforcement will be present and double fines will be in affect throughout the project.
