Las Cruces, NM – The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission, or PRC approved an increase in electric rates in Dona Ana County which will generate an additional 5.8 million dollars in revenue for The El Paso Electric Company. The company already has one of the highest electric rates in New Mexico and as KRWG's Jessica Borchert reports, the increase is to make up for rising operational costs.
