Pregnant Customer Says Dairy Queen Worker Beat Her

A pregnant woman is suing Dairy Queen because she says a worker beat her over an ice cream complaint.

KRQE-TV reports Angelika Coakley-Vargas stopped to satisfy her craving for chocolate ice cream, but was given vanilla. The workers refused to remake it, and it tipped over when she slid it back across the counter.

Coakley-Vargas says a worker screamed an expletive as she walked out.

A police report says witnesses saw employee Takisha Archuleta chase and attack Coakley-Vargas. Archuleta told police she was telling the woman not to return to the fast food restaurant.

Coakley-Vargas is suing Dairy Queen as well as the franchise and its store workers.

The franchise owner could not be reached. Dairy Queen spokesman Dean Peters declined to comment on the pending litigation.
