Las Cruces, NM – In 2008 the New Mexican border city of Sunland Park hopes to open a new port of entry into Mexico. The city received an eleven point six million dollar donation from local racetrack and casino owner Stan Fulton to help fund the project. Sunland Park estimates the port will attract almost three hundred thousand vehicles during its first year of operations alone. As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, though the port could increase business in Sunland Park it has enflamed a violent land conflict just a mile South of the border in a place called, Lomas De Poleo.
