Cloudcroft - The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be
holding three public information meetings to discuss upcoming improvements
to the US 82 tunnel located between Cloudcroft and Alamogordo. The meetings
will take place:
* High Rolls, NM, High Rolls Senior Center, 96 Cottage Row, Tuesday,
December 13th from 6:30pm - 7:30pm
* Cloudcroft, NM, Cloudcroft High School Commons Area, 10 Swallow
Pl., Wednesday, December 14th, 6:30pm - 7:30pm
* Alamogordo, NM, Alamogordo High School Library, 103 Cuba Avenue,
Thursday, December 15th, 6:30pm-7:30pm.
The NMDOT project team will discuss the upcoming US 82 tunnel ceiling
reinforcement project. The purpose of the project is to improve safety
through the tunnel. Information will be presented on the purpose and need,
project schedule, including night-time closures.
The meeting will include a short presentation by staff followed by a public
question and comment session. Public questions are encouraged and will open
for discussion.
