Deming: The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be holding a public involvement meeting to discuss the improvement and implementation plan of physical dust mitigation techniques on US 180.

Meeting Purpose:
This public meeting is to inform the public about the implementation of Phase 1: US 180 MP 150-151 and consists of a denuded pasture located on private and State Land Office property. Blowing dust in this area has caused road closures and accidents in the past and has been identified as a safety hazard to motorists. The proposed project will use and key lining and reseeding to promote the growth of vegetation to stabilize the soil and reduce the sources of dust.
