Norman, Oklahoma – Gas prices skyrocketing in recent months have had an especially big effect on rural parts of the country where drivers tend to travel longer distances, own less fuel efficient cars and make less money than people who live in larger cities. Some politicians say the long-term solution is to invest in domestic, renewable fuels like ethanol, but many drivers remain unconvinced.
