I respond to Algernon D’Ammassa’s diatribe of 12 October. Only someone delusional would defend Planned Parenthood’s inhumane practices after it was exposed for trafficking aborted human baby body parts. In a partisan shot, D’Ammassa slanders Congressman Pearce who opposes taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood. Unmasked by its top officials like Dr. Deborah Nucatola, who graphically detailed how she crushes certain organs to harvest more marketable parts, Planned Parenthood does not deserve taxpayer dollars.
Undercover videos by the Center for Medical Progress document horrific practices. Independently validated, the investigative series and interviews profile PP abortionists and staff members discussing the harvesting and pricing of body parts. In one, employees pick over dismembered arms, legs, hearts, and brains to identify objects for sale. Other barbaric practices include: partial birth abortion; killing babies who actually survive abortion, altering procedures on women to harvest baby parts, and selling organs for profit – all implicate serious federal crimes. Judging from his comments, D’Ammassa may not have watched the videos, or is cutting and pasting PP talking points.
Bottom Line: D’Ammassa is seeking to deflect from Planned Parenthood’s atrocities toward ACORN because he can’t argue the facts.
FACT: ACORN was a “huge multi-million dollar international conglomerate that sought to undermine democracy and the capitalist system through fraud.”
D’Ammassa says ACORN was “exonerated” of criminal activity: FALSE.
FACT: ACORN was convicted of voter fraud in Missouri, Nevada and Wisconsin. In Nevada: convictions were affirmed by the state Supreme Court.
