Reward In Las Cruces Armed Robberies

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrests of the suspects who may be responsible for as many as six armed robberies that have been committed in the past couple of weeks.

The armed robberies were Thursday, Jan. 20, at the Eagle Quick Mart at 4790 Stern Drive; Friday, Jan. 28, at the Eros bookstore at 2200 W. Amador Ave.; Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Lotaburger at 1300 S. Valley Dr.; and Sunday morning, Jan. 30, at Domino's Pizza at 2645 Missouri Ave

In addition to those four armed robberies another was reported late Sunday, Jan. 30, at the Chucky's convenience store in Dona Ana and an attempted armed robbery was reported at the Pic Quik store at 3925 S. Main St. in Las Cruces.

All six armed robberies were committed during late-evening or early-morning hours.

Of the six armed robberies, at least four have similarities that lead detectives to believe they may have been committed by the same two or three young men or teenage boys.

The suspects in each of those four cases are described as young Hispanic or black men, or teenage boys, all of whom were wearing masks or dark-colored hoodies. The suspects were said to be armed with handguns and, in at least one case, possibly a shotgun.

The suspects in some of the armed robberies may be driving a white, older model sport utility vehicle - possibly a Suburban or Tahoe.

If you have any information on the identity of the suspects you are asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to LCTIPS (528477).

The Crime Stoppers number and text messaging services are operational 24 hours a day and you do not have to give your name to collect a reward.
