Reward In Las Cruces Armed Robbery

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrests of the two suspects who committed an armed robbery Saturday at a popular fast food restaurant.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, Las Cruces Police were called to the Blake's Lotaburger at 1300 S. Valley Dr. where two men, both armed with handguns, took an undisclosed amount of cash from the restaurant.

LCPD detectives learned that the men, described as either black or Hispanic, ordered two of the restaurant's employees to the floor while the third employee was ordered to hand over the store's money. The suspects then fled the store on foot heading southwest toward the Wal-Mart Supercenter off Valley Drive.

No injuries were reported.

One of the suspects was said to be wearing a white T-shirt and a white mask. The mask was described as either a ski mask or possibly one that mimics the villain Jason from the popular "Friday the 13th" movies. The second suspect was said to be wearing a blue or black hoodie. Both men were said to be armed with stainless steel, semiautomatic handguns.

If you have any information on the identity of the suspects you are asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to LCTIPS (528477).

The Crime Stoppers number and text messaging services are operational 24 hours a day and you do not have to give your name to collect a reward.
