Reward In Las Cruces Armed Robbery

  Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that helps identify two men suspected of aThursday evening armed robbery at a drive-in on north Main Street.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday, May 22, Las Cruces Police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery at the Sonic Drive-In, at 2925 N. Main St. Officer learned that two men were on foot when they ordered water at one of the drive-in stalls. When the carhop made a delivery, the two men threatened him with a concealed handgun and demanded cash from the carhop.

The carhop complied with the demand and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. 

After obtaining cash from the carhop, the two men fled the drive-in on foot, running eastbound toward Elks Drive.

Both men were said to be Hispanic men between the ages of 18-23. They both were said to have full-sleeve tattoos on their left arms, and other tattoos.

One of the suspects had a thin mustache, and was wearing a white T-shirt and dark-colored pants. The second suspect was wearing a dark T-shirt with dark, baggy pants.
