Reward In Las Cruces Gas Station Robbery

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the man who committed a robbery late Tuesday evening at an East Mesa convenience store.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, Las Cruces Police were dispatched to the Chucky’s Food Mart at 5995 Bataan Memorial West in response to a robbery. Officers determined that a Hispanic man entered the store, asked for change and then overpowered the clerk once the cash drawer was opened.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store heading northbound in a 4-door sedan. No serious injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, around 5-feet-7-inches tall and bald. He was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. The suspect was said to have entered a small, white, 4-door automobile with a spoiler along the rear trunk.
