Reward Offered In Las Cruces Kidnapping/Rape

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person who kidnapped and raped a woman in June.

The Dona Ana County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident that occurred just before 11 p.m. Monday, June 1, near the 1000 block of Burke Road off of west Picacho Avenue.

According to sheriff's office investigators, the suspect was driving a dark colored SUV when he struck the victim causing her to suffer a head injury. The suspect then took the victim to a remote area where he proceeded to rape her.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, approximately 5-foot-8-inches tall with a medium build and short black hair.

The SUV the suspect was driving may have had blood on the front end and on the front seats.
